When embarking on the Beech Hill village shop project it was suggested I would need all sorts of characteristics in order to make this challenge work. Patience was not one initially mentioned but is one we have found we need in abundance. We are so enthusiastic about our project, and the vision of how it will work is so palpable that we just can’t wait to get started.
Things are progressing and a lot has been achieved but to those not directly involved it would appear that nothing has actually happened. By the time this month’s magazine is printed we would have had our first public meeting about the shop. It is planned to present the results of the village survey, as well as show the plans for the shop and discuss the way forward and what will be needed next.
Following this we will continue to fundraise via grant applications and share acquisition until such a time as we have enough funds available to start work and the Diocesan Advisory Committee has agreed our proposals.
So with plenty of patience and even more determination we will continue to work towards having a new village shop in Beech Hill.
